Bio: Lionel King
Lionel King is a watercolourist who divides his time between inner city Sydney and the Illawarra. He is a landscape painter and the illustrator of three children’s books. Lionel finds perpetual inspiration in his local environment, and is as enthusiastic painting urban landscapes as he is coastal scenes. His passion for urban landscapes was showcased in his 2020 solo exhibition, “Painting Pyrmont: Past and Present”, while his love of the Illawarra is reflected in his prize winning “End of the Day, Thirroul Beach”.
